Stage 1 - Every hair follicle contains pigment cells called melanocytes. The melanocytes produce eumelanin, which is black or dark brown, and pheomelanin, which is reddish-yellow, and pass the melanin to the cells which produce keratin, the chief protein in hair.
Stage 2 - The coloring of your hair is achieved from melanin.
Stage 3 - When you first start to go gray, melanocytes are still present, but the melanin that they produce gets broken down by hydrogen peroxide and free radicals, less pigment is deposited into the hair so it appears lighter.
Stage 4 - Pseudocatalase and catalase acts by breaking down hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen directly at the level of the hair follicle.
Stage 5 - Melanin is restored in newly growing hair producing your natural hair color.
Catalase is the heavyweight antioxidant that neutralizes the most dangerous free radicals. Gray hair is a tell-tale signs of a body in which powerful free radicals "reign". Only catalase can easily, and naturally neutralize the most powerful free radicals such as the peroxyl, nitrogen and hydroxyl free radicals that cause the bleaching of your natural hair pigment.
A study published in The FASEB Journal (Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology) has showed that a Pseudocatalase (PC-KUS) and catalase can return pigment to hair. They remove the hydrogen peroxide build up from the follicle, reversing the greying process, researchers found. Researchers treated 2,411 patients and noticed the pigment of the skin and eyelashes returned.
FgF9 "is a key growth factor in scalp cells which helps hair follicles form and regenerate during the healing process". These findings have been study validated. Depo Melanin contains clinically proven FgF9 (Amino Acid/Marine factors) along with Moroccan argan oil, horsetail extract, biotin, and many other important nutrients essential for hair growth. The FgF9 complex regenerates dormant hair follicles creating new healthy growth.
Use as your regular shampoo on an everyday basis. Shampoo thoroughly for about a minute, being sure to massage the foam into the scalp.
Rinse, and apply conditioner if desired.
DEPO-MELANIN RECLAIM SHAMPOO can be used up to twice daily to maximize results.
De-ionized water, sodium lauryl sulfate, glycol distearate, catalase and pseudo-catalase, FgF9 (amino acid/Marine factor complex), Moroccan argan oil, horsetail extract, biotin, aloe vera, vitamin E, carotene.
